welcome home little dolphin!

we got to go pick up mary at the airport this morning! we went and picked out some fancy sombreros in honor of the spanish culture that mary was engulfed in for a year and a half. we had some fun with them:

and yes... chip grew a little 'stache for mary

we waited for her anxiously at the bottom of the stairs... i didn't know what to do with myself! i was so excited!

she finally came down the escalator! uncle john had snuck up behind her on the escalator and he stood next to her with his arm kinda around her for a few seconds before she looked over at him and realized who he was! it was so cute! that's what this next picture is if you can't tell.

she's same ol' mary and we are SO excited that she is home!

TARGHEE

We went up to Grand Targhee in Wyoming last weekend and snowboarded for 3 days! it was so fun! as you can see in some of the pictures there was SO much powder.

They had these patio chairs sitting out in front of the lodge... so we lounged in them. They were covered with snow.

It snowed so much that we couldn't go all the way to the top of the mountain that much. We tried it several times but it was so snowy that you could't see trees or anything. It was so crazy because since the wind was blowing so hard and you could only see WHITE, you would think you were stopped and you'd sit down and realize that you had been moving. For a lot of the time we stayed on the kid hill... which is actually pretty big and it was so fun! we went on allie-oop alley and the wacky weasle way and it was fabulous! Powder is fun but when you fall it's HORRIBLE getting up! you get SO tired! We also got to hang out with Rene and Anthony and that was a lot of fun!

just playing...

Here are some pictures we took playing with the camera!

These icicles were on our house and they were so cool! they were huge! chip would always try and jump kick them!

little fried people

So...about a year ago, we came up with a really fun activity. We made potstickers (there's a real japanese name for them but i can't remember it. i always have to ask chip but he is not present at the moment) with my roommates and we had leftover dough. well, we couldn't waste that dough...so we each created a little person and plopped them each in the pot full of oil and we made ourselves a little fried family. It was fun!

I just found the pictures and thought i would share. So now you have something to do if you are bored. Just don't let those kids near the oil cuz it can be DANGEROUS! And make sure you keep anything you don't want to smell like oil out of the room.
