beaR LaKe and a little bit of TaTe

Chip had a few days off before he had to go back to school so we decided to take a little trip. I've been dying to play in some water, so, since we couldn't make it to the beach, we went to the north beach of bear lake. It was so fun!

Funny story... so we drove up to bear lake and got to the campground we were planning on staying at at 9:30 and they were closed... they had closed at nine. So luckily we found this little RV campsite that was so cool! We tried roasting pillsbury cinnamon rolls over the fire. (that's what those little foil things are) The next day we went to bear lake and here are some pictures from there: sorry, there are a lot

After a while it got SUPER windy and so we had some fun in the wind. We thought we got some funny pictures...

And this house was just cool.
We were really tired at the end of the day so we took a nap on the grass of the Tabernacle in Logan. We felt like bums.
Before we went home, we got to spend some time with Sam, Shauna and Tate. It was really fun to see them!

RisKy buSinEss and the GigaNtic grApE

So, I taught Chip how to play Risk the other night. He beat me big time! The following are pictures of him winning. He ran out of blue armies so he had to start using the red armies too.

I also just wanted to show you what we found in our bag of grapes:

Home-made hummus... didn't know you could do that.

This recipe is from Lily. She has lots of great recipes.

1 can Garbonzo beans
Lime/Lemon juice (a squeeze)
1 Tbs. Sesame seed tahini (I couldn't find it at the store so i just threw some sesame seeds in there)
1 Tbs. Olive oil
2 Tbs. Water
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cumin
black pepper (to taste)

throw all this stuff in the blender and you'll get some yummy hummus.
Right now i'm dipping some celery sticks in it and it's so good!

THANK YOU RYAN AND HOLLY!

Sorry guys, this is the only picture I could find of the two of you! But THANK YOU!!
Ryan and Holly saved our lives because they gave us their air conditioners! Ryan and Seth even came in and installed them for us while we were gone!! Chip and I are sleeping better at night, we are happier, and I think we're gonna live longer now! I don't have to walk around with ice packs any more! THANK YOU SO MUCH! You guys are the best!

today i wish i was a penguin

why? because then i could play on the beach with these guys. i also think it would be really cool to be able to slide on my belly like penguins do.

just thought that i would share with you my thoughts as I am sitting in my warm little apartment with an ice pack on my back. this is what we do to keep cool in our apartment. i usually sleep with one and i often take one in the car with me when i go to work :) it's pretty funny!
