Celebration of the life of Shirly Heimback

Shirley Heimback is my grandma. She passed away 2 weeks ago after a long battle with parkinsons disease. My grandpa loved her so much and took such great care of her! I am so grateful for his example! A day before she died I talked to him on the phone and he was listening to her sleep on a baby monitor. He didn't ever want to be unable to help her.

Her funeral was held in VictorVille California at a really beautiful mortuary. Afterwards we had ice cream sundaes to celebrate her life!

The ice cream was stored in dry ice and when we went to serve it after the funeral, it was solid!! a lot of the guests left before we were able to serve any ice cream. We ended up having to cut it. That was chip's job and he loved it!

The cemetary where my grandma was placed is so cool! it's right up next to a little rocky mountain. There are gravestones all around at the bottom of the mountain in the middle of the rocks.

We will miss my grandma very much! She was always so thoughtful. Christy said that the last time she saw her (which was in march at kimmy's wedding) she was asking christy what her kids wanted for christmas. She always loved to find presents for her grandkids and great grandkidsI know she's in a better place now where she is not hurting and trapped in her mortal tabernacle.
The funeral turned out very nice and I was glad that I was able to be there and celebrate her life!
